Marie C. Dimino is a poet and writer who currently runs her Blog Small Talk - Ideas of Worth, comprised of articles which lead to food for thought and contemplation, and MardimArts.Com, where she creates spiritually based, customized, personal expressions. She is often recruited by diverse sectors of cross-cultural organizations to assist and write sermons and eulogies on various topics centered on her works.

In 1984, she originated her company, Mardim-Art Greetings Co., A New Way To Say "I Love You".

Her poetry-for-plaques were distributed and displayed in several choice stores and state fairs in New York City and customized on location. They were handmade and finished on wooden plaques.

Her passion for writing is poetically influenced by the world around her, and has been credited as "naturally capable of being able to see the beauty in all things."

She has also written for Paramount Greetings Cards under several greeting card categories.

MardimArts.Com appeared in numerous issues of The Weekly MarketPlace Business Spotlight in Albany, Schenectady and Schoharie Counties in New York.

For more than 25 years she worked full-time as a Legal Assistant in major law firms in Manhattan and specialized in research and writing legal documents. In the evenings, she tutored English and ESL courses for the Metropolitan Learning Center.

Later on, she became an Educator for Alley Pond Environment Center in Douglaston, New York, to students of all ages, including Special Needs and Intellectually Gifted, where she lectured many classes on the importance of nature and the environment. It also entailed the introduction of and "hands-on" approach of exotic reptiles, small animals, birds and insects.

In recent years, she became a member of the Roxbury Arts Group, which is affiliated with the C.R.O.P. Program (Creating Rural Opportunities Partnership), a government funded program located in Delaware County, New York. Various genres of local artists are recruited in the area to set up after school workshops for grades K through 12. She writes stories for children and reads them to the class. Afterwards she helps them create storyboards based on her tales, using natural branches, leaves and stones collected from the woods.

Born and raised in New York City, several years ago she moved to the Catskills Mountains in upstate New York, where she presently resides on twenty acres of wooded property with her husband, an African Grey parrot , a dog and a cat. She is a self-proclaimed "city girl gone rural" who loves to state, "I live in a forest."
